ABOUT US
Pastors
Gordon and Delores Mueller have served in many different
areas
of ministry over a period of 18 years. Before entering into
their own ministry, Pastor Gordon served as a prayer counselor,
musician, Sunday school teacher, youth minister, Deacon, Assistant
Pastor, and Board of Director of the church they attended.
While Pastor Delores worked very closely with Pastor Gordon, she
also served as Secretary of the Board of the Women’s
Ministry.
In
August of 2002, with much prayer and counsel, Pastors Gordon
and Delores, through the leading of the Holy Spirit launched
out from their church leaving behind many wonderful memories
and friendships. Though it was hard for them to leave they
knew the Lord was closing one door and opening another!
On
the first Sunday of September 2002, they met with their children
for worship in the living
room of their home. In the middle of the second week the Lord
added two families to their meetings, and by months end there
was a total of four families meeting on Wednesday and Sunday.
At the end of October they had grown to six families meeting
on a regular basis.
Believer’s
Victory International Church Is Born
In
November, the meetings were moved to the business office of Pastors
Gordon and Delores, in the
City of Carson. There, they rented a portion of the warehouse
and began conducting services under the name “Victory
of Faith Christian Center”, which was later changed
to “Believer’s Victory International Church”.
Approximately 10-12 families gathered together every week
for worship, prayer, and the Word of God. Soon, not long after,
a search was initiated to find a facility that would accommodate their
ever growing needs as a congregation. To date,
the members of “Believer’s Victory International
Church” have a place they call home, at least for
now. The new facilities provide a gracious sanctuary, Sunday
school classrooms, a nursery and a toddler
room, an administrative office, kitchen,
sound /editing room, and reception area in a beautifully
landscaped commercial park, located in the City of Carson.
